Pergolas Are Our Favorite
A well-built pergola turns an empty Abilene backyard into an outdoor room – providing shade from the West Texas sun, a place to gather, and a lasting addition to your home’s value. Every pergola we build is custom CAD designed and custom-measured, never a prefab unit.

While pergolas are our fav, we also do a varity of custom woodwork including custom decks, accent walls, built-in bookcases, fence gates, playgrounds, and just about anything else you can dream up that can be made with wood.
Meet Daniel
Creative TimberWorks is run by Daniel Julian, who’s been building things for as long as he can remember – Legos as a kid, now more than a decade of professional woodworking here in the Abilene area and beyond.
Daniel and his family have called Abilene home since 1999, and he’s proud to build for the neighbors and the community, taking pride in every project.
“I’ve enjoyed building things for as long as I can remember. As a kid, that might have meant building something out of Legos or helping my dad with a project around the house. Today, I get to turn that lifelong interest into custom woodworking projects for families and homeowners throughout Abilene and the Big Country.
I’ve been woodworking for more than 10 years and enjoy taking an idea someone has and figuring out how to bring it to life. Through Creative TimberWorks, I build custom pergolas, decks, accent walls, built-in bookcases, fence gates, bunk beds, playgrounds, furniture, and other custom wood projects.
What I enjoy most is creating something specifically for the person and the space. You may know exactly what you want, or you may just have an idea and need some help figuring out the details. Either way, I’m happy to talk it through with you.”
